The #PalisadesFire is burning in the hills between Brentwood and Encino. The wind very light and the forward progress of the north flank has almost stopped. The fire has not crossed into the San Fernando Valley, and is nearly stationary west of Mandeville Canyon Rd.

The #PalisadesFire is burning in the hills between Brentwood and Encino. The wind very light and the forward progress of the north flank has almost stopped. The fire has not crossed into the San Fernando Valley, and is nearly stationary west of Mandeville Canyon Rd.

Just saw the people asking — my daughter is doing great.
Thyroid cancer. But it was well contained, no signs of spread in her lymph nodes. Partial thyroid removal, but everything looks great.
Again, if you work at any part of a hospital with the word “pediatric” on the wall, God bless you.

In elementary school, my teacher told my mother I was “unteachable.” I was behind in every subject, including reading. Then I found this one book in the school library and connected with it, reading it hundreds of times. I made a career in reading, writing, and editing.That’s what a book can do.
