“The truth is that Reform has no long-term answers for the structural, economic and geostrategic problems Britain faces. It has been, until now, held together by hate”

It cannot fix the problems we face because it’s a symptom of those problems, not a cure.

Farage pays for nothing himself. He rakes it in from media, crypto, gold bullion, X… Clacton isn’t worth his time.

He’s a rep for the US christofascist far right and is being paid to bring that shit over here.

It’s all a grift. A pisstake. A very sinister betrayal.

Reform UK announced a Scottish Leader who’s never been elected by anyone for anything and a new MP who won’t call a by-election.

That’s Reform UK democracy.

Thanks to Brexit, we no longer have to put up with unelected bureaucrats.
In other news, the new leader of Reform in Scotland is Lord Malcolm Offord, totally unelected in any capacity whatsoever and appointed as leader by me alone. Still, it's only Scotland.

Beth Rigby: "Keir Starmer has changed his top team more than I've had hot dinners."

In two years before Starmer we had 3 PMs, 4 Chancellors, 3 Foreign Secretaries, 5 Home Secretaries, 5 Education Secretaries, 5 Cabinet Secretaries, etc. - total 221 ministerial departures.

Maybe Beth is on a diet.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.

Yesterday far right protestors tore up Palestinian flags, flags with Islamic scripture & gave speeches saying “that Islam is the real enemy, we have to get rid of Islam”. Yet nobody from govt is condemning this detail? Why not? Had it been about Christians or Jews what would have been the response?

“We have to start delivering change that people can see outside their front door. We used to say that politics is local - now it’s hyperlocal. It’s framed by the space between your front door, the patch of grass where you walk the dog, and the shop where you pick up your milk.”

The real issue isn’t left vs right.

It’s not white vs black.

It’s not citizen vs immigrant.

It’s not gay vs straight.

The real issue is that a lot of powerful people have a vested interest — and a lot of money invested — in dividing us, and it’s working.
