Author of I'm Not the Manager Here
So rather than moping around jobless, I've decided to collect stories from the unemployed.
I've started a #Medium publication called Suits to Sweatpants hoping to publish awesome, uplifting, funny, tragic and all the in-between stories regarding job loss and unemployment.

Then another 60% of the population took their own video recording devices out into the woods in an attempt to film their own Blair Witch project.

And I, a 13 year old girl, wholeheartedly trudged into the forest, enormous camera in hard, ready to uncover some monsters.
If you’re ever surprised by how clueless we, as a people, appear to be sometimes, just remember that a scant 25 years ago The Blair Witch project came out and 90% of the population was like “holy shit is this REAL?!”

It's my daughter's 14th birthday today so this morning I snuck into her bedroom at exactly 7:20AM and woke her up by loudly saying, "At this moment, exactly 14yrs ago, doctors were slicing me open and yanking you out of my belly! Happy birthday, sweetheart!"

I asked my daughter to write down a list of things she'd like for Christmas, and this was one of her requests.

This week on Thriftastic Finds! I'm not sure about the origin of these wee darlings, but I'm in love. They shall watch over me with the keen observation skills of a German shepherd waiting for a morsel of the sausage she's watching you eat.

Daughter: Mom! I neeeeeeeed a cat in my life.

Me: I don't want a cat.

Daughter: Pleeeease Mom, you won't have to look after it at all! My life will be complete with a kitty!

Me: Fine. But I will have NOTHING to do with this thing.

Also me: His name is Charles and he is my grandson.
