Just browsing Kobo for fiction to add to my book pile and have been recommended ‘A serial killer’s guide to marriage’ as being similar to ‘The life of an MP’ (which was bought for my husband to read). Go figure!

It makes me wonder whether Prescott actually consulted the original source himself & doctored it or simply took dictation from someone else. A person, for example, who had helped insert a right-wing lobbyist who hadn’t done journalism for over 20 years into such a potentially important position…
I have currently got 34 books in my virtual book pile that are waiting to be read. I know this is contentious, but I love being able to do my book shopping from my sofa and to know that I am never going to come to the end of the book pile again.

Why do news outlets put stories on here, but hide them behind a paywall once you click through to the story? Surely if you want to sell subscriptions you have to give people a taste of what they are buying? I'd love to know if they generate subscriptions from this or just piss people off.

So here is a theory: some rich person is bunging prison officers wads of cash to ‘accidentally’ release prisoners in order to destabilise and interfere with our democracy.

Just got off a train having witnessed a man, in a quiet, calm voice, refusing to show his ticket to the ticket inspector, who was a black man. The inspector held the train at a station and asked him to get off for no valid ticket. He refused saying the inspector should go back to Africa. Disgusting.

Apologising here and now. I am away from home caring for my mum after her full knee replacement., so I have not been able to employ pre-match lucky routine as, for example, the lucky mug, pants and team shirt are all at home. Those lads are going to have to give their all to overcome this setback!

Anyone out there who can give me some tips for fact checking my local MPs claims. I've had a missive from him claiming all sorts of "successes" but most of them look like things that are not in his control (opposition MP and most of the things he's claiming credit for look like council decisions.
