The attacks on USAID are so telling about the whole blinkered worldview of this admin of goons. The cost to the US is minuscle, the benefits to recepients massive, the capacity to manage crisis abroad sustained, and they're happy to destroy it because they cannot concieve of anyone else as human.

The sad reality is, the overwhelming majority of Americans don't know there's a voter for the Speaker going on, don't care & won't be able to name him after the vote. This is what happens in a country where civics education is no longer universal. Its absence lets darkness settle in over democracy.

The correct title for this article is "Donald Trump will ALLOW Mike Johnson to Remain As Speaker...For Now." Also, it's important to note that the Executive and Legislative Branches were intended to be separate and independent, but that was the good old days.
