This is my best intro guide to alt text for images that don't have text or aren't entirely text. Alt text for images of text is a different beast entirely.

So glad I found this! I might be working (recreational therapist) but am signing up in case I can make it and/or there's a recording 🤞also really appreciate yr perspective as someone who's also relied on medicaid, and works with folks on medicaid waiver

Oh! You might already know this, but at least on bluesky, you can change a setting so that it will prompt you to add alt text whenever you have an image, under settings --> accessibility --> 'require alt text before posting'

My brain does a tiny record scratch every single time I hear talk about needing to community build/meet 'in person', and there's zero mention of masking/air ventilation - esp! Within or directed at chronically ill/disabled folks
