Another thing that kind of bothers me is how often the pro-Quickplay crowd would rudely dismiss everything that anyone tells them about how, well, anything in TF2 works. Calling anything that doesn't fit their bias as "walls of text" because honestly, the whole thing runs on emotions for them.
TF2 players really like to bring up Payload Race as something to back up Quickplay being better. Genuinely, if people really want to play plr_pipeline, the solution is already present via community servers. You can do this thing called hosting community events.

But we need Papa Valve to do it!!

It's kinda annoying how solar panels were hung around the neck of the left as impractical pie in the sky treehugger shit *right* up until it started outcompeting every other energy source. Then suddenly, instead of going "hey the left was correct about solar" it's no longer a "left" idea!

The left tried for decades to pass green energy subsidies, passed them, the subsidies worked, and now literally the entire planet's electricity grid is going to convert to solar+battery. It just doesn't feel like "tech" because it mostly produces kinda boring blue collar jobs instead of billionaires

AI is revolutionizing the world! A Playstation now costs $5,000 and this is the last phone you will ever own.
“.. ‘many system vendors will go bankrupt or exit product lines due to a lack of memory. Mobile phone production will be reduced by 200-250 million units, and PC and TV production will be significantly reduced.’ Yikes.”

Been wanting to do this for years, but changing my username in places to Limeguy667, though my display name is likely going to stay as just my first name, Erick.

GuyNamedErick isn't like a great username and also character limits often being at 12 for some reason don't help either.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Sort of gives away the lie that they're arresting hardened criminals who are drags on society when they're setting up traps to lure in Good Samaritans
CCTV footage appears to show DHS agents posing as people having car trouble in order to lure a target out of his house before arresting them. The target comes out and starts helping them before 3 vehicles surround the scene. The car "experiencing" trouble then drives off with them.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say that a Jersey dude so horrified that he went to his first protest and is trying not to cry on camera has a pretty good chance of staying radicalized. And that while Bluesky loves to pick apart things like this, this kinda video moves the needle for OTHER dudes.
Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at today’s ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch 😭. @maddow.bsky.social

The American Right is weakening, they are desperately trying to cling onto power and increase their violent acts in order to silence people.

But there's more of us than them, so keep the pressure going. Also have higher standards for politicians, weak and complicit politicians is why we're here.

The skunk in Crash Twinsanity says that he's been going "back and forward" for "ten stinkin' years" but the skunks in Crash Bandicoot 1 (presumably what he is referring to) did not go back and forward--they came out of the sand three at a time and crawled straight forward until they fell into a pit

I need folks to understand this. The idea that local police forces will intervene at scale against ICE is a utopian fantasy totally disconnected from how policing has always worked
Police departments across the US are quietly leveraging school district security cameras to assist Donald Trump’s mass immigration enforcement campaign, an investigation by @the74.bsky.social reveals.
