Been obsessively thinking about parallels between "personal boundaries" & national borders. Did some googling this morning & found this amazing essay by @lilyscherlis.bsky.social historicizing pop psych "boundaries" talk in Cold War (60s) & neoliberal (early 90s) moments. Highly recommend.

glaring omission indeed
Yesterday the MLA exec council issued a report on its decision to foreclose a vote on resolution 2025-1. It omitted mention of the fact that @eallen.bsky.social & I resigned from the EC in dissent from the decision & in solidarity w/ members demanding more of the org. We'd served just shy of 4 yrs.
Last week, I resigned from the MLA Executive Council in solidarity with members working to mobilize the org to take a stand against the scholasticide and genocide in Palestine.

Please read and share their powerful call to MLA leadership today in LitHub. lithub.com/the-modern-l...

BREAKING: Autonomous anti-genocide activists bring the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to a grinding halt after blockading the McDonald’s float for a second year in a row.

“Those grinches who thinks they can disrupt the parade: it’s not going to happen,” Mayor Eric Adams said yesterday.

11 months later, I’ve still yet to say anything nice about Germany especially after withdrawing a museum exhibition I curated about genocide denialism because the directors of the museum and museum system told me I couldn’t say Germany hadn’t properly recognized the genocide in Namibia.
Feeling exceedingly at home in Berlin’s sea of giant black puffer coats, and that’s the only nice thing I’ll say about Germany for the foreseeable future.

Love “booster shot for the revolutionary imagination” as a description of our book.
Everything for Everyone: An Oral History of the New York Commune 2052-2072 by @emanabdelhadi.bsky.social & M.E. O'Brien offers a pretty dramatic booster shot for the revolutionary imagination. It's definitely rippling through some of my movement circles. www.commonnotions.org/everything-f...
