Yet the media spent the past week hounding Rayner out of government for a relatable mistake.

Reform continue to lurch to the exfreund all while the media big them up as a government-in-waiting. A pathetic indictment on all of them.
“Some analogies seemed poorly thought through. Zia Yusuf promised “the most audacious deportation flights since World War 2,” which is not a period most of us would invoke when discussing the forced movement of people.”

The Reform party conference and the end of democracy
Farage is getting ready for power, but his party is becoming much more politically extreme than he is. If he gets the chance, will he give them what they want?

Starmer ravages Farage:

"The honourable member for Clacton is not here... he's flown to America to badmouth and talkdown our country. And worse than that... he's gone there to lobby the Americans to impose sanctions. You cannot get more unpatriotic than that. It's a disgrace."

#BBCProms TV coverage seemingly saving the best ‘til first. Beethoven’s Fifth played first in BBC2’s spliced version, when it was played last on the night 🤷🏻‍♂️

The people who commissioned and wrote this electric guitar thing have never heard of prog rock. It’s all been done before 🙄 #BBCProms

There was an old tweet that stuck with me: "If you can easily walk to the coffee shop but your barista has a one hour commute, you don't live in a walkable 15 minute city; you live in a theme park"
as someone who lives nextdoor to both supportive housing and public housing, i need people to understand that the best locations for both are going to be the central neighborhoods in a metropolitan area, where there is easy and reliable access to services and jobs.

Unpopular opinion: maybe those arrested at the meeting were actually conspiring to commit crimes and the #Quakers were providing a platform for potential criminality.

Trump literally broke TikTok so he could take credit for fixing it.

It's disgusting. It's gaslighting. It's scamming & cheating.

He's like a drug dealer who steals your stash and then helps you look for it.
