From Donegal Ireland. I mostly post random things - football, Donegal stuff and some bits of my own writing. #Peace #Respect #Kindness
The Bohs and Rovers game in the Aviva showing what #LOI fans have been saying for years. If there was investment in the game and we could let players perform on good pitches and fans enjoy good facilities, there is massive potential to grow because the standard is decent and games competitive.

Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

Spurs play Tamworth and I don’t know of any Spurs supporter who isn’t dreading it a little bit. Having supported them for over 40 years I know they are exactly the kind of team who could beat Liverpool and then lose this game! I’m hoping for a few early goals to ease the nerves.

A thing of beauty.
After he won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957, Albert Camus wrote a letter of thanks to his favorite childhood teacher, whom he'd never forgotten. It's beautiful.

The absolute best thing about the FA Cup is you can get games like @asfcofficial.bsky.social against @lfcr.bsky.social - what an occasion for these lads and for the club. I hope they make a lot of money from this. Small clubs are the heart of their community.

In 2019 our club ran a programme for Syrian refugees where they learned English through football. I met one of those lads again today - he was cutting my hair and he now has great English. We had a great chat about football and getting him to come train with us soon.

Rocco Vata has scored an absolute rocket of a goal for Watford in their FA Cup game against Fulham. Every time I saw him play for the Irish underage teams he looks like a super player.

What an unfortunate run of injuries Spurs have had this season. I think any team would struggle with luck like they’ve had. Didn’t even last 10 minutes tonight.

There are some awful football pundits on tv these days, some gooduns too, but I am always amazed that Jamie Redknapp has lasted so long as an “expert”

Scribbled a few lines after seeing yesterday’s fabulous red sky. I saw plenty of better pictures of it than this one I snapped in my garden.

Has anyone else been followed by what appears to be a lot of bot accounts today? I have been followed by six today who have followed thousands but who haven’t even posted once. I blocked them all.

The 60 songs they are showing on BBC2 right now to mark 60 years of the channel is one helluv an eclectic playlist - it’s class.

Also, in true Spurs tradition, after fighting back to 4-4, Ossie gives away a penalty in the last minute to keep supporters on the edge of their seats!

Watching Escape to Victory on Channel 5. 4-1 down at half time and Ossie Ardiles and his team mates are not going to run away and are prepared to go out and go all out attack for the second half. Ange ball is not a new invention, football is supposed to be entertaining.

I don’t even know what category of rural Donegal this fits into - the Masons running a Christmas lights tractor run!
