I can’t say I’m surprised by tonight’s election results, nor am I disappointed.

I am currently applying for a block party permit for my neighborhood.

Application submitted Thursday. Over the weekend I was notified I need to submit payment before the permit is processed.

Sounds fairly straightforward only there is no link to submit payment … 🫠

Trump’s MIND is “so far gone.”

Today while invoking the Home Rule Act in Washington DC, President Trump described Baltimore as “so far gone”. A sitting president should inspire the people they represent, not consistently disparage them.

Through May, Baltimore has recorded 54 homicides, the fewest through the first 5 months of a year on record. The previous low: 65 homicides, in 1977.
At this point in 2022, just three years ago, there had been 138 killings, and in 2017 there had been 146 people killed.

Looking back at my time in City Gov, my contributions towards the City’s efforts to reverse a more than decade long cut to the our annual HUR formula was probably what I am most proud of. It is not hyperbole to say the impact of this policy work will be felt for generations.

I don’t get all the Brandon Hyde hate.

He won manager of the year 2 years ago.
We’ve made the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time since 96/97.

And because his lineup isn’t exactly what some fans want each night he should be fired?

Inspired by today's post from Transportation Alternatives, we analyzed Baltimore's Top 10 Super Speeders in 2024.

Combined, these 10 speeders racked up 1,117 speed camera citations in 2024 and owe the city over $81,000.

There’s a lot of folks that have contributed to Baltimore’s remarkable reduction in violent crime over the past few years. Our State’s Attorney Ivan Bates is undeniably one of those folks. I’m looking forward to supporting his re-election efforts in 2026.

It’s not just embarrassing, it’s plain wrong. Official government business should not be happening on non-government channels.

Solid move from @bmorecitydot.bsky.social. The original buildout of the 83 speed camera program was designed to allow for camera rotations using 6 prepared locations. This likely would have occurred sooner had it not been for interference from Annapolis.
📍 Where are the cameras?

I-83 speed cameras are set up to monitor both NORTHBOUND and SOUTHBOUND traffic. ⚠️

💡 Speed limit: 50 MPH
💡 Photo enforcement in effect

Check the map to know their locations. Play it safe—obey the speed limit!

This is a shame.
We alerted the city multiple times that these funds were in danger of being lost. Bikemore and our delegation were assured that the city was on top of this. No fathomable excuse.

The Baltimore Greenway is such low hanging fruit. We should be embarrassed this isn't already completed...

"The grant loss won’t doom the acquisition of the Norfolk Southern corridor, nor the completion of the trail network, but will add some time."
