AOC: "I want folks at home to look at what members of Congress are invested in private prisons companies, and look at the votes on this bill. It is atrocious that people are lining their pockets with private prison profits in the name of a horrific tragedy."

It’s very disappointing to see Democrats fumble the TikTok ban so badly. Trump got to put the ban idea in motion and to be seen as the one to overturn that same ban while Democrats like Jeff Jackson who became popular in the first place from the app go right ahead and vote to ban it

Here’s the thing: if Biden pardoned his son because he’s scared that Trump will turn the federal government into MAGA Gestapo, that’s actually kinda fair.
But: IT ALSO OBLIGATES HIM TO DO MORE THAN PARDON HIS SON. He needs to fight the transition to the utmost!

At 21, I’m grappling with a Supreme Court that’s likely to be dominated by right-wing justices for most of my life. With Trump’s return, Alito and Thomas will resign, securing a conservative supermajority. Democrats have to be the party of Court reform

If Democrats want to stand a chance at winning in the coming years then we have to show regular Americans that we have a genuine alternative vision for the future. It cannot just be “we aren’t republicans, we aren’t Trump”

There's a strange idea among moderates that radicals take far left positions for the vibes, or to posture, or just because they're radical position. We take these stances because we want a livable planet, we want people to have good lives, and because in many cases they're winning positions.
