Andy Robertson (BBC): "I've been in bits. I couldn't get my mate Diogo Jota out of my head today. We spoke so much together about the World Cup. We always discussed what it would be like going to this World Cup. I know he'll be somewhere smiling over me tonight." 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

No one expected much from the Bulls, but they're sitting atop the East standings with a 6-1 record.

What’s going on here? Are the Bulls just riding a wave of luck? Or are they actually a threat in the conference? Mat Issa finds answers.

I don’t know how LFC fix this, in part because I don’t know what they’re even trying to do.

Fully on board with this.
Jones for Mac is the obvious one. CJ has been significantly better every single game this season.
Chiesa and Ekitike the next 2 on the list.

@andrewbeasleyfootball.com hey mate, I think it was you who RT’d the Guardian Slow Horses S5 Review a few weeks ago.
I’ve really enjoyed the season so far, especially with the penultimate episode. How are you finding it as someone who has read the books?

When this kicks off - and it will - Starmer and Labour are going to look very, very stupid. Doubly so when Maccabi Haifa fans use one of their favourite chants: "There are no schools in Gaza, there are no children left".

🇸🇷 Suriname had a rich soccer history cut short by tragedy & turmoil.

Now, Dutch-Surinamese players are looking to carry on the legacy of the players that came before them - becoming local heroes in the process.

My piece from Paramaribo for @espn.com: www.espn.com/soccer/story...
Dutch-born players are making Suriname's World Cup dreams a reality
Thanks to a recent change in FIFA rules, Suriname is drawing on its Dutch lineage to fuel a fight for a place in the 2026 World Cup.

Sarr is normally unbelievable against us so I’d imagine this continues tomorrow
🎙️ Glasner #CPFC

On Sarr.

'He had the full training week. I don’t know if he can play 90 minutes – I don’t know how intense the game will be – but he’s ready.'

On Yeremy Pino.

'He had a bone bruise – knee on knee, which was very painful – but since Wednesday he’s been training. He feels fine.'

Shin pads should protect the majority of your shin. These micro pads should be banned!!
Everybody should absolutely view this as an invitation to drop your spiciest soccer takes.

Ryan Gravenberch has scored twice in four Premier League games this season, having only found the net once in his previous 63 games in the competition.

@davidsegar.bsky.social takes a look at the seemingly constantly evolving Dutchman and his impressive form.

Yes, Liverpool have blown 2-0 leads in 3 games but this from Andrew Beasley is key: they have never been behind in any game. And when they have been at tied state (ie, chasing a go-ahead goal early or a winner late), they have been excellent. You cannot lose a game when you do not trail. #LFC

Fair play to Salah calling this out. Particularly in the Diaz case. He had a fine three years at the club and performed well. Some of these aggregators are a disgrace.

Good. Laurie and his stupid Edition account are rage baiting knobheads.
Mohamed Salah didn't take kindly to Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak being described as big upgrades on his former teammates Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, who left Liverpool for Bayern Munich and Al Hilal this summer.

Can probably pinpoint exactly when Curtis Jones was introduced. Helped Liverpool get a foothold in the game and finished with a 95% pass success rate.

Proper changing of the guard moment today. The fullbacks the 2 best players in the team but a different pairing to Trent & Robbo. The torch has been passed. #lfc
