I find Instagram useful and my defacto network for awareness of comedy gigs now, I just try not to comment outside of comedy circles as idiotic replies are incessant.
But bluesky is my fav, I use moderation to mute words like 'Trump' etc.

It was made by ITV who are shit at comedy and no one expects comedy to be on ITV. So they probably struggled to monetise it in the UK at the time, long before global media plurality.

If it had been BBC they would've made 6-8 episodes a year for 10 years irrespective of cost.
