I'm not sure who else needs to hear this, but I think this is an important mindset for creators in general.
So much time is wasted fretting about nailing a perfect execution re: that painting or that sculpture or that novel series on the first attempt, that said attempt never comes to fruition.

Never in my most cynical dreams did I imagine so many people willing to sell out their own country for money, attention, clout, out of spite, ignorance or hate.

I still remember some of my more conservative extended family members telling me "You're just exaggerating!" and/or accusing me of invoking Godwin's Law when I so much as implied a connection with, ahem, 1930s German politics.
