people, you have the chance to put my book ahead of Olivia Nuzzi’s on the bestseller list. put aside all other considerations and think how objectively funny this would be. #1, that Mountain Goats guy. #2, Antivax Man Has My Heart. funniest list of the century. We can do this if we try

I understand this sentiment, but defeated capitulation is *precisely* the kind of response most helpful to your political opponents. Telling yourself you have no political agency & defeat is an historical inevitability is only one step away from voting for them.
And the political wind feels like it's behind those that agree with Tice. We're probably closer to banning ear defenders for children as government policy than we are to doing a proper review of SEN support. I hope I'm being too cynical, of course.

I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

I think it is fair to say that this is a crime against humanity. It is a staggering number of deaths."

We need to make a bigger issue of what happened to the world when Elon Musk decimated USAID.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

When you've lost Andrew McCarthy...

(McCarthy has been a critic of the whole campaign, and correctly holds that none of this is warfare in a legal sense to begin with, but here also correctly holds that even if it *is* warfare, the actions described are illegal.)

Just for absolute clarity, the government’s proscription of Palestine Action is a self-evident farce, deeply unethical and morally bankrupt. It is an unforgivable waste of time and resources, and makes them look both deeply unserious and as ideologically compromised as they clearly are.

Profoundly, profoundly anti-American shit.
