I have saved up the great British baking show to binge over thanksgiving weekend. It has been difficult. I’m looking forward to some wholesome joy.

Our military is being paid by an anonymous donor.

Our WH East Wing was demolished for a ballroom - paid for by donors.

These aren’t acts of benevolence or patriotism.

This is the oligarchy assuming control, insidiously becoming part of how we function.

Every American should reject it.

"The Pentagon should not fear scrutiny by the press corps that walks its halls. It should welcome it and rise to it. In a free country, the Army defends the people—and the press ensures the people know what is being done in their name." www.thebulwark.com/p/locking-do...
Locking Down the Pentagon Press Is Dangerous
Pete Hegseth’s proposed restrictions would harm the people whom both the military and the press are meant to serve.

Targeting more than half the population of the US for a political reason is treason. No elected official or a member of his staff has the right to punish the American people for who they vote for. Withholding money for states that voted for Harris is tyranny and must be stopped now.

Arguing with a Facebook friend that the fourth amendment says “people “ not “citizens “. She told me I was using “woke speech “. I had no idea our founding fathers were woke.

To explain:

At the start of his opinion, Judge Young includes an anonymous note received by his chambers, which reads “Trump has pardons and tanks..what do you have?”

Responding to the note, Young says we have our “magnificent Constitution” and “here’s how that works out in a specific case —“
Omg. I’ve never seen anything like this in a judicial opinion:

They just tear-gassed us. They tried to run us over in a van holding a peaceful protester. They shot us with pepper balls. They dragged another protester into the facility.
moments ago, ice agents again came out of the broadview detention/“professing” facility to escort a silver suv out of the lot.

one of the agents picked up and threw congressional candidate kat abughazaleh to the ground.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

Thankful the 2nd threat in less than a month was another hoax; fight or flight response & fear for my colleagues & students is the same as if it were real. You remember those times when the threat was real & people died. Relief spills over you that no one was injured, but there is emotional trauma.

Don't feel like doing a repost that puts the murder video on the timeline yet again but do feel like repeating the point that the president just straight-up assassinated 11 people for supposedly doing something that wouldn't be a death-penalty crime if they were caught and convicted
