I feel confident in predicting history will judge this decade or so as the absolutely stupidest time in American history.
Honestly our kids and grandkids will read about this time and be shocked that adults existed.

Before the conspiracy theorists start, these are condensation trails, contrails or vapour trails created by aircraft engines under the right atmospheric conditions. Hot humid air from engines combines with cold dry air to form cloud-like trails as water vapour condenses and freezes to ice crystals.

Once we know about the ‘Illusion of Truth’ effect we can look out for it. Do you check why you believe what you do? Is it really true or have you just been told that repeatedly? Take care what you repeat.

Repetition makes a fact seem more true, regardless of whether it is or not. Understanding the "illusion of truth" effect can help you avoid falling victim to this trick.

There are really only 2 cases in the pandemic. 1. Reff>1, where the pandemic grows exponentially until a significant part of the population is either chronically ill or dead. OR 2. Reff<=0.9999... where the pandemic exponentially decays towards elimination. Understanding this changes everything.
