Be kind to each other
Great tool. After all, it is not because your manuscript is a pre-print that it does not deserve to be beautifully formatted.
🧑‍🔬📰🚀 #RxivMaker is here! A framework automating the creation of publication-ready scientific #preprints from simple Markdown. Goodbye manual formatting, and hello gorgeous manuscripts! A great adventure with @guijacquemet.bsky.social's lab

I have wasted the last week of my life trying to install the RFdiffusion/dl_binder_design pipeline in our HPC cluster. The conflicts with the AF2/JAX/pyrosetta dependencies have driven me insane. The info on the GitHub repo is hugely outdated. Is there a kind soul in Bluesky who can help me? please

Professor Ville Hietakangas calls for patience from research funders: the time frame in basic research is long, and financial concerns undermine creativity. Read more in our article: sigridjuselius.fi/en/news/scie...
Scientific leaps cannot be taken overnight - Sigrid Jusélius Foundation
There are no quick wins in top medical research. Ville Hietakangas, who studies the effect of food on our physiology, asks for patience and trust from those who fund science.

This data is very revealing. I have lived in 3 countries of this list ( with widely different stats), and I can see how this simple question explains a lot of people's daily habits.
When asked if most people can be trusted, responses vary significantly around the world

To kick off my migration to bsky, a bit about myself. A tale of a non-linear career:

> I am a biologist from Brazil. My master's project was on plant pathogenic bacteria.

> After my Master's, I worked
for 3.5 years in a plant biotech company. Meanwhile, I obtained an MBA studying at night.

> I then moved to Belgium for a PhD... on peripheral nerve degeneration.

> For my postdoc, I wanted a change of field (again), so I moved to the UK to study clathrin-mediated endocytosis.

> In my group, in lovely Helsinki, we study endocytosis, adhesions and the cytoskeleton.
