I know my point is fairly banal and my example is pretty random. Everyone knows there's some pretty toxic bigotry online these days. However, I have really never seen too much discussion of these comment sections on seemingly random things that are just routinely toxic pileups.

If you spend any time on Instagram or TikTok you will see these comments sections filled with just absurd racism, anger, and bigotry popping up on the most random videos. It's notably worse on Instagram. Thanks for that, Mark, you dick.

That song was always awesome. I was a snarky edgy freshman in college when that song came out and I wouldn't admit it but I hummed along with that song. It was some whiplash seeing that song on MTV sandwiched between NIN and Notorious BIG.
