I've had my nose bloodied only twice. Both were from being head butted by my son when he was a toddler.
The first slap is bad. The first headbutt is so, so much worse.

I know my point is fairly banal and my example is pretty random. Everyone knows there's some pretty toxic bigotry online these days. However, I have really never seen too much discussion of these comment sections on seemingly random things that are just routinely toxic pileups.

There is the anger and viciousness in our country right now. It is being virally soread for profit by these tech companies. No one is really doing anything to address it. We are awash in toxic sludge.

If you spend any time on Instagram or TikTok you will see these comments sections filled with just absurd racism, anger, and bigotry popping up on the most random videos. It's notably worse on Instagram. Thanks for that, Mark, you dick.

I wish we had media that would sit down with him and get him rolling on that topic but oh well.
I think at some level he actually just understands that
(a) his personal views on whether middle class teens are actually human beings who have rights and deserve not to be sexually exploited are, let's say, out of step with the mainstream, and
(b) if somebody gets him started, he'll blurt it out
