We got our copy of Motherlover early and I gobbled it up so fast. It's funny, it's wholesome, it made me tear up SEVERAL times.

PLEASE READ IT

It is a great day for capitalism, which means it is a bad day for everyone else.

If you are not watching Cory Booker right now, I really recommend tuning in, even just for a few minutes. He has gained a huge amount of respect from me.

Authoritarians depend on you obeying in advance and not resisting. Every act of disruption weakens them and slows down their plan. It's a crack. The cracks add up. This is why what Cory Booker is doing is important compared to the weak complicity of Schumer and others.

Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"

I understand the cynicism of people asking why Cory Booker is filibustering when no legislation or nomination is involved. But he's taking the narrative and unifying Democrats a day before TFG's April 2 announcements, and right before the April 5 protests. This is strategic.

I just saw someone write that no one is watching Cory Booker. There are 45,000+ people watching right now on his YouTube channel, 35,000 on the AP YouTube, and 15,000 on MSNBC's YouTube.

What is possibly gained by shitting on what he's doing?

It's the 25th Anniversary for Donors Choose and the site is matching donations today up to 50%, so if you were thinking of contributing to an educator's project, today would be the day to do it!

Shout out to the parents who donated to my classroom today! I appreciate all of you.

In yet another complete betrayal, Cadet Bone Spurs is removing the stories of great American heroes from our military websites.

Their service deserves to be celebrated, not erased.

Donald Trump must #RestoreAllWhoServed.

These are the brave heroes he's ashamed of 🧵

Excellent excellent excellent from Princeton president and constitutional/ political theorist Chris Eisgruber. There's been far too little of this kind of thing; here's hoping others follow his good example.

The Cost of the Government’s Attack on Columbia
American universities have given the country prosperity and security. The Trump administration’s attack on academic freedom endangers all of that.

To be clear, gang members also should have due process. And this is a reminder how criminalizing behaviors, tattoos, etc is infused with white supremacy, xenophobia & ableism.
With Trump ramping up efforts to disappear people under the dubious pretext of "gang affiliation," Hannah Dreier’s gutting @propublica.org story from 2018 is a must-read.

It exposes how high schools, police, and ICE funneled students into detention and deportation over nothing more than a doodle.

Donald Trump sold out farmers for his friends at Mar-a-Lago.

If he cared about them, he wouldn't be cutting off programs that helped them just to sow chaos to feed his ego.
