Deseret Magazine: “Dave — who looks like the quintessential vacationing dad”
Hanging out on the Interpreter Foundation’s TikTok page and I venture beyond the fold to see what may affect my well being… 😆

cc: @tokensandsigns.org I’m not sure if Interpreter or TikTok did this.

“Sexism”

A millennial and active LDS young women’s leader telling my wife what the reaction was from the young women when she asked “What do you think of when you hear the word ‘Priesthood’”
Yesterday, my wife came back from lunch with 3 PIMO women, and they are ANGRY about this very thing: Patriarchy, polygamy, and the role of women in a church centered society.

Ezra Taft Benson did much damage to my generation
“…he doesn’t explicitly say women should stay home. He does say we should have more babies. But what the women I was with heard in his talk, and likely most of those Gen X or older, is an echo of all the many talks over the years… saying women should stay home and have lots of children.”

Back in the day in Texas, away from Utah news, a ward member excitedly showed me all the Paul Dunn tapes he got at a steep discount at Deseret Book during our Temple trip to Dallas.

How Blackrock destroyed a very profitable local home remodeling company through debt-based financing of the purchase.

This should be illegal. The people responsible should have both their corporate and personal assets seized, for them and their heirs.

Laughing at this. When I called Representative Blake Moore’s office about the GOP avoiding the vote on Epstein, his staffer fed me the line that “Oh, he voted to continue the investigation” which caused me to laugh on the phone with a “How stupid does he think his constituents are?”

as I said before, everyone keeps dancing around the fact that this is open nativist blood libel. This is how you legitimize mass dispossession, en masse, of an entire sub-population of a nation. And this is now an institutionalized belief in ostensibly the most powerful org in international finance.
Fed Governor Stephen Miran: "Cutting down net migration to 0, potentially even negative because of the deportations that have been occurring, I think is very deflationary."

It’s also funny how Republicans mistakenly think people care if Bill Clinton is also caught up in the Epstein files. So?
Per WSJ: Epstein email threads mentioning Clinton. The rest (the gray ones) mention Trump.

I’m glad the church did this. It’s too bad, in this case, it was done in a low-key way when that knowledge would have helped ease anxiety among the poor, but I suspect the church did not want to rile up its conservative base that supports a political party that uses food as a weapon.

“Last year, about 40% of the food the church produced went to food pantries across the country, he said, with the remaining 60% going to members in need, Carmen said. Two years ago, he noted, that ratio was reversed — 60% of the food that the church produced went to outsiders.”
LDS Church launches an ambitious plan to stock up food banks and celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday
The LDS Church will help celebrate next year’s 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by sending 250 semitrucks loaded with 20 tons of food to 250 food banks across all 50 states.
