This isn’t immigration policy. It’s a business model.

ICE keeps growing, not because it makes America safer, but because corporations are raking in billions off cages, bodies, and suffering. ICE’s existence is a massive revenue stream.

What does it say about this country that that the kind of open, rank bigotry Trump administration officials regularly express towards black immigrants apparently has no social cost because of the number of Americans who quietly agree or don't care.

How do millions of professed followers of Jesus reach a point where they harbor predators, willfully abandon survivors, and redact the truth in order to shield the monsters from the raking light of accountability?

How do Christians align with r*pists?

Holy shit. This legit gave me chills.

Texas State Rep. Ann Johnson clapped back at GOP members amid Wednesday's redistricting vote.

WHITE WOMEN, this is the model. We have more power than others. We are the last to be silenced. We have a responsibility to SPEAK so others are HEARD.

It was a grant from Biden Administration.
But after badgering and threatening CEO, Trump grabs an equity stake as a bribe.

I’m old enough to remember when free market Republicans and Libertarians would have been outraged by this government expropriation (hint - it was 6 months ago).
Intel is not *selling* equity to the US. It was going to get the money anyway from Biden. Trump demanded this *bribe* in return. Another #BrokenTimes headline parrots Trump's framing.

Gill: And I also learned that because a lot of the agents at IMD weren’t very well-versed in Rule 6(e) or the redaction protocols required for FOIA, there were training videos that were disseminated on the FBI’s SharePoint on how to flag Trump’s name in these files, along with other instructions.

I’ve written books about corruption at the top levels of power. But I am fascinated by why *ordinary* people engage in corrupt behavior purely for social clout, rather than money or power. Here’s my answer, with some amazing characters who went to bizarre lengths—to appear better than they were:

The new film “Sinners” is a symphony of vampire bites, gunshot wounds, and people being staked in the heart and left to burn alive, @adamserwer.bsky.social writes. But the true horror is the Jim Crow economy, which drives every event in the film.

I’ve watched as corporations and the super-rich flooded D.C. with campaign cash and ransacked our system.

It won't be easy, but here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people.
