“I wanted Kirk to be safe for his sake, but I also wanted him to be safe for mine, and for the sake of our larger shared project. The same is true for Shapiro, for Hoffman, for Hortman, for Thompson, for Trump, for Pelosi, for Whitmer. We are all safe, or none of us are.”

As a good citizen, you want to go about your business without fear of arrests, detentions, bans, and other abuses by the powerful.

Now, power grabbers assault the rule of law.

Let’s push back with @raskin.house.gov
At this moment of autocrats vilifying judges and the rule of law, lawyers can prove why they're lawyers. This is the time to stand up for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and for people under attack.

So I walked out.

That man is so deep in his own delusions he thinks gaslighting the country counts as governance.

The thing about destroying NIH is NIH’s scale in medical research just dwarfs everyone else.

For ex, in 2023 the American Cancer Society gave out $64.5 million worth of grants. Sounds big, right?
But NIH’s budget was $49 billion. With a B.

Kill NIH and the floor drops out of US science.
HHS might as well be wrapping a wire around a piece of metal and running a current through it and see what happens.

Every ten minutes here is like:
- Trump doubles student debt
- Musk now has keys to your house and is in your bathroom doing plumbing drugs
- Three planes just crashed
- Trump signs EO making women illegal
- Face-melted Nazi from Indiana Jones now in charge of CIA
- Meteor not arriving fast enough
