Mind blowing.

The Luxon Government has confirmed it will rewrite NZ’s once bipartisan climate change law to dilute methane reduction targets and PERMANENTLY exclude dairy from the Emissions Trading Scheme – a move Greenpeace says amounts to full-blown climate denial.

National ‘Labour spends too much on consultants’

Also National ‘we will spend more’
Comment: Minister Judith Collins has relaxed constraints on consultants spend, after the public sector massively over-delivered on promised spending cuts ... and the Govt work-rate slowed accordingly.
Public spend on consultants slashed – but not to those embedded deep in govt

The jobless rate could rise to almost 6% if employers give up on waiting for the ‘growth, growth, growth’ recovery & sack workers they’ve been ‘hoarding’. + NZTA says costs on its Ōtaki to north of Levin RONS have blown out to $87.5m/km. That's >double the average cost of the last eight RONS. #nzpol
Risk unemployment may rise towards 6%
ANZ warns end of labour hoarding could lift jobless rate by 0.5%; Rate already seen at 5.3% in Q2; NZTA reveals Ōtaki to Levin motorway to cost $87.5m/km, twice the average cost of previous eight RONS

Interesting article on wiring differences between men & women. My wife (AuADHD) and I (Neurotypical) are navigating through a diagnosis of ADHD - in this case for my wife as a mature female.

Much like Cassandra, giving warnings out loud still leads to disaster, but:

We need free RAT tests
We need Covid booster uptake - and availability for under 30s
We need clean air
We need to encourage masking
We need media reporting

Our health system is at breaking point now - and a wave will come.

New Zealanders across the political spectrum want increased spending on public services, poll finds. This government is deeply out of touch on valuing our public services. www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...
