How did we reach a point where the media has determined that two foreign leaders should decide whether Aukus should continue?

Our sovereign interests are FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO DETERMINE. What Trump and Starmer thinks is entirely irrelevant.

Our issue remains, is Aukus worth it? The answer is clear.

See my reply to James. I think that covers it.

No, I've never understood straight cold blooded stuff either, as in out of pure hate or jealousy or whatever. Makes NO sense at all. Just walk away.

But then I don't understand how in 2025 we still have wars.

Have we, as a species, learnt nothing?

Labor read the room on Gaza. What does that say about our indifference to Palestinians?
Labor's silence on the genocide in Gaza has been simultaneous with its near-total silence on Indigenous affairs since the referendum.

Under the cover of the on-again/off-again Coalition drama, Labor is gearing up to approve an absolutely catastrophic gas project.

Woodside’s North West Shelf is an untapped climate bomb.

This approval would mean supercharged floods, fires and species extinctions.

The ALP are looking at this purely within the prism of how they manage it politically, not what is right and wrong. Their lack of any meaningful action will remain a stain on their credibility forever.

I was pondering today about Albanese’s prime ministerial legacy being purported to be his universal childcare policy. What strikes me as ironic is Labor poising to give the green light to Woodside’s North West shelf gas expansion which will emit a carbon bomb. See where I’m going here?? 🙃
