NEW POST - OPINION: Doug Ford has suckered everyone into thinking he's the best to handle Trump. He's not. In fact, he's dangerous.

What better Canadian political leader to handle Donald Trump’s insane attacks on Canada than a retail populist, plain spoken’, blue collar, slogan-hat-wearing guy who talks ‘tough’ and will make bold ...

Doug Ford has positioned himself as an ally of workers but labour advocates say his work legislation has been weak on enforcement, resulting in little change in the workplace

Reminder: Doug Ford hasn't taken any questions since the debate and hasn't held a press conference in 9 days!

I thought he was the "most transparent" Premier in Ontario history?!!

Don't let DoFo take his job for granted. Please vote responsibly, vote him out!

Correct. This is a President of the United States declaring himself a dictator.

And instead of Americans understanding that we’re now under imminent threat of martial law and tyranny, we’ll get a month of think pieces about what the President of the United States meant by his UNAMBIGUOUS statement.
This is fascism.

There’s one thing I would really, really like Canada to remember:

Perfection is the enemy of good.

None of us are perfect. Politicians, including very good people in political life, aren’t perfect.

Job 1 - Ditch Ford. Vote strategically.

Job 2 - #MarkCarney

Chose Canada.

Watching powerless from Europe how democracy is crumbling in the US, reminds me of those movies where someone is mind-controlled by an alien or ghost. I want to yell: "America, we know you are still in there. If you can hear us, you must fight. YOU CAN DO IT. FIGHT THIS!"

So to recap, we learned today that Doug Ford will only take max 6 questions from reporters per event and won't let his candidates participate in debates.

That doesn't seem like someone who is proud of their record. It sounds like someone who is hiding from it. #onpoli #cdnpoli

If I were Canadian PM I would immediately:

1. Create a new $15B science fund

2. Offer any credentialed US scientist funding for lab startup and replacement of NIH grants if they move to Canada

3. Immediate permanent residency

4. Citizenship after 2 years

How in this global environment could you aspire to be Prime Minister and refuse security briefings? Absolutely absurd. Politics isn’t a game especially in this case. On this basis alone, Poilievre is not up to the job of PM.

And he’d get eaten alive by Trump. www.thestar.com/politics/fed...
Pierre Poilievre will no longer receive security briefing from top spy agency
The Conservative leader has argued that he won't be muzzled by secrecy constraints that accompany security clearances.

I really hope, beyond all hope, that this blows up spectacularly in Doug Ford's stupid face. He runs gov't ads for two months on our dime to fool people, he sends out bribery cheques, he times the election for a measly 4 weeks so the opposition has less time to be heard.

End him, Ontario!
