There is truly no limit to the number of ways companies will just make up their own ways of listing gender options.

I may not be smarter than a parrot.

But I have more thumbs than a parrot.

I have more technology at my disposal than a parrot.

I have more time on my hands than a parrot.

The thing is you see, “bananas in sleepwear” still works because instead of pyjamas rhyming with bananas, sleepwear rhymes with “coming down the STAIRS”.

This is starting to feel like an unboxing thread

But

I bought “light cotton cuffed pants” and it only says “sleepwear” on the tag.

I’m told my regular pants look like jimjams anyway.

Have had “Bananas in sleepwear” on repeat in my head all dam day for reasons. Was trying to prove it DOESNT rhyme

Also, thanks to the eshays I guess, even the basic trackie daks have anti theft tags on them & though I got these online the packer forgot to remove it.

What should I do. I live in a small town. Do I take them to the Kmart Hub & ask them to take it off even though I’ll set off the beeper going in?

I’m sick of being a pair of tongs short of a BBQ. But now they’re here, I’m wondering if there really is such a thing as too many tongs. These will be added to the three pairs of tongs we already have.

Coming from AoNZ I definitely have woollen socks, they are warmer but tend to be a bit scratchy for me unless you get the real expensive ones.

Here in Aus at least “Sherpa” products are in. I bought Sherpa socks from Kmart which are every bit as warm as wool socks but heaps cheaper and also softer.

This does a great job. Ideally you’d have two separate pockets for each foot though because I don’t like to sit at my desk with my feet so close together like that.

Also yes, I’m also sick of having cold extremities all the time. Moving to Australia only fixed me over summer (which is too damn hot)

Coming around the bend I thought that black thing was a crouching lynx. It gave me a fright, especially since we don’t have lynxes in Australia.

I put this guy through the washing machine and considered the result a great success. But now when the dog squeaks him, it sounds like a wet fart.

FYI I did not give him a bowl cut mullet. I don't have the right gear (or any experience to speak of) so the fade isn't as good as I'd like, but he no longer looks like Anton Chigurh, which is what you look like when that popular short back and sides style grows out.

I'd pretty much come to the conclusion I'll have to cut my son's hair myself (for many reasons). I've watched heaps of YouTube tutorials but have been putting it off.

Then yesterday on my walk I passed some teen boys with this haircut. They gave me the confidence I need to just give it a go.

In good news, the supermarket was out of classic Chupa Chups I guess, and a classic pack of 25 was replaced with two packets of 35 "Flat Faces" which I've never bought before because they creep me out.

But the wrappers are waay easier to get off, and you get more of them. So I'm converted.

From the memoir I Heard Her Call My Name by Lucy Sante, writing about her gender transition.

(I’m listening to the audiobook, read by the author.)
