One of the best radio receivers I worked with in the 80s: EK070 from Rohde & Schwarz. Excelling at HF as well as on MW and VLF. Easy to program through a GPIB interface and no overload even with big external antennas. I miss these sturdy and reliable pieces of engineering!

“I never had the feeling that my imagination was rich enough to invent all those extraordinary things,” Mandelbrot once said. “They were there, even though nobody had seen them before.”

'Alien: Earth' predicts a transhumanist future, but could we ever digitize human consciousness? We asked the experts (exclusive)
Alien: Earth suggests a future where consciousness isn't confined to the body you're born in, but is this a realistic possibility, or merely science fiction? We spoke to experts to find out.

Comparing 4 h of WSPR transmitting.

Here's a look at two WSPR transmitting data sets.

Chris, VE7XH, at 5 W, from here in Vancouver, and amateur radio balloon DA2GG, at 20 milliwatts. We really see here how height is a form of equalizer.

This paper I have a conflict on since Mathias now works in my lab, but it is so beautiful, claiming that shape processing in humans is not done like modern neural nets, but instead uses a symbolic representation of a program to generate the shape.
