A little snowy morning. ❄️ Just about an inch. I am enjoying all this snow we’re getting in December this year. No doubt it will be melted by Christmas, but better in December than February, when we usually get our biggest snow, when I’m totally over winter already.

I do not like this new practice where companies send a bill to email, then a month later send a paper one like YOU'RE 30 DAYS OVERDUE. Sorry, no. You did not send a bill to my HOUSE. In my real mailbox. Because have you seen the spam in my email??? No possible way am I ever seeing a bill in there! 😫

A truly exceptional editor who understands a) how to deliver strong, constructive feedback nestled in effusive praise and b) the best editing identifies a problem without providing the fix

Nobody ever reads a great article and thinks, "Dang, that was some tight editing." But editing is a big part of how it got to be great.

Both of us self-employed, so we're on a ACA plan. Health insurance premiums (after the tax credit, which we're still getting) for family of 4 going from $360/mo to $870/mo in 2026. What the actual fuck??? That's one of the more basic plans, they only get more expensive from there. 😵 I hate it here.
