Yesterday for Christmas I saw around 40 different photos of pomeranians on bluesky. Really the best gift that exists for the holiday.

I am seeing a whole lot of posts complaining about moderation decisions.
Yes, there are some terrible people that will likely come over from twitter or tiktok or whatever else. But they have just as much right to be here as we do.

As much as I may hate the man, it seems silly to protest him not being banned. Just block him, he will be banned when he acts up, not just for existing.

I’ve always had trans mates since the early 90s, when I was in the first lived experience pilot. It was seen as a threat, and we were utterly loathed, with the whole hospital waiting for us to break down (which, of course, happened). A trans nurse became our one ally. Difference supports difference.

The last couple of weeks I have been dipping my toes into c++ and I have to say it has been an enjoyable experience. After spending the last several months using languages without pointers or references it is nice to be using a language that has them.

This reminds me of one trip to the ER where the one social worker on staff got off work at 8pm, leaving me in a not good situation.
I will die on this hill:
Every level 1-3 emergency room in the country should have a pharmacist and social worker staffed 24/7. I’ve been in ERs that don’t, and the differences are crystal clear.
