typescript as a programming language (momentarily removed from the context of the 'ecosystem' and the other ways in which it is evil) really disappoints me, it has a reasonably expressive type system but the syntactic constructs you use to interface with it are just very very poor

hm i think the frustration i've felt with my writing recently is that it's almost academic in quality, if i want to convey self-disorder i convey it strictly in the language of self-order, the timbre of the narration/prose is too removed from the 'idea' of the text/the character perspective

there was a really striking progression built around Ebm7 that i heard somewhere a while back & i've been trying to work out how it concluded by ear/from memory but i'm starting to think that it might've been in a key other than Eb minor, none of the obvious intervals really seem to work with it

since doing the bridge replacement on the superstrat (such that it's not an ibanez t102, an absolutely miserable nightmarish piece of equipment) it has consistently been a shock to pick the guitar up and have it actually still be in tune. never entirely get used to it

it is nice to play mahjong with others again (instead of just random online matches) but when they're still relatively new to the game and not riichi.wiki devotees it means that you kind of just get crickets if you joke about suji or any yaku that isn't thirteen orphans

more specifically it's very easy to look back on a hand and go "right this discard in this situation was the problem", sometimes it is just a matter of panicking/etc but otherwise it's a lot more involved to get a feel for what specific game state/hand progression requires you to discard differently
