There even was a series of campy 80's comedies based around this.
(This was a core finding of the Kerner Commission report almost 57 years ago -- that almost all incidences of urban unrest were triggered by police actions)
the idea of fingerwagging your way into protest discipline is deeply delusional for a number of reasons, chief among which is that the cops' decisions are among the biggest determinants of how protests ago. it's like being perplexed at people for using umbrellas while ignoring the weather

Brilliant.
Dropkick Murphys just had an epic moment at their show:

They made a friendly wager with a fan in a MAGA shirt—“Let’s see where it’s made.”

Then they checked his MAGA shirt tag…

Made in Nicaragua.

They swapped it with a Made in America Dropkick Murphys tee.

Legendary.

“It’s time to say it plainly. America’s leadership has switched sides in the war. The American people have not, and they should speak up.

Well you look at that? Joni Ernst and Rick Scott have an anti-union bill. @aclu.org @teamsters.bsky.social Add this new anti-worker attack to "right-to-work" laws. I guess since he can't defraud Medicare anymore, Rick Scott needs a new way to screw people.

It reminds me of a certain bugs bunny/ elmer fudd scene when I was a kid.

Egg prices are surging, gas prices are up, and planes are crashing on a near-daily basis.

And this is what the White House is focused on.
