Just when I was starting to think the Chinese DRO-B and the TIANDU's were dead, I found recent media reports that suggests far more interesting goings on!

So missile defense is a big topic thanks to “Golden Dome” and it has a lot of arms control advocates up in arms. Although I think the admin is 1) dumb and 2) poisoning the well on BMD, this is a good time to consider Alvin Weinbergs idea of “Defense Protected Build Down”.

On the 24th of March, the Missile Defense Agency carried out the long awaited FTX-40, a tracking exercise involving a MRBM-T5 (Medium-Range Ballistic Missile) target carrying HTV-1 (Hypersonic Target Vehicle 1). The target was dropped from the rear of a C-17.
