On March 31, 2005, just minutes after the Cassini spacecraft's closest approach to Titan during the Titan (T-4) Flyby, Cassini viewed Saturn peeking through Titan's thick atmosphere. Saturn's rings are seen here casting dark, dramatic shadows across the planet's northern disk (upper left). This composite is made of images that were taken by the Cassini spacecraft's camera system, the Imaging Science Subsystem (ISS) on March 31, 2005 and received on Earth April 1, 2005. An erakker of the Bysphere Vipretta conducts a rare live fire test. A warcraft conducts a live fire demonstration during a close Miranda flyby. This is a political show of force, designed to intimidate the Republic of Miranda. An ergo drive makes a desperate last stand at the edge of the Milky Way, preparing for a head on pass with her adversary. Two of her companions are already destroyed, their clouds of atoms expanding in the distance. A lone exoplanet bakes with the massive energy being unleashed. A rogue craft makes a last ditch burn to avoid plunging into Saturn’s rings, putting itself right in the crosshairs of a pursuing spacecraft.
