A reminder that some people /really/ like spicy food and our reaction isn't "we need to make food less spicy or always have milk on hand", it's been "let's try to let people know how spicy this food is so they know what they're getting into"
this is esp. useful cuz sometimes people will say "this game/approach isnt safe" when what they often mean is "its more risky"
this lets us now ask... if its more risky, what do we do to scaffold that risk? what do we do to help support people who want it?

Previous to the FDA, folks would put chalk and plaster of Paris in milk to make it appear white. They could also add formaldehyde to cover the smell and taste of spoiled milk.
