Agree totally. And the cop's partner is usually standing by, conveniently watching the clouds as the perp begins to run 😂

Amen to that! Didn't there used to be physical fitness requirements or something? We've got cops that are so obese they can barely walk from their car to yours, much less foot chase anyone lol.

5/So you have zero conscience and breaking the law isn't much of a thrill, since you're exempt from most of them anyway. What's left? Hmm...what's the biggest taboo of all that fills my desire for control, fear of being caught, and feeds my narcissism as an "elite"?...
And there's your answer.

4/Now strip away all the addicts with a conscience, leaving only the coldest. But instead of a $200/day habit, they've got multiple $billions. Here's a secret - most of them *already* use drugs! It's old hat to them (why do you think Cong. and the Pres. are exempt from Fed. drug testing?).

3/Most addicts battle guilt and shame on a daily basis; but not all. Some are completely devoid of any emotions other than the next fix. Their skill at lying and manipulating is honed over many years of practice. Junkies know to stay away from these ppl, lest you wake to find a knife in your back.

2/But when ppl love and depend on you, the guilt and shame begins to outweigh the high. You begin to see it's NOT a secret "cool kids club", but a group of desperate ppl with the commonality that they (we) all have a hole in our souls (and sometimes our soles), forever chasing that missing piece.

6/They've spent 25 years (yes, since 2001) building the prison walls around us while we went about our lives. Epstein was a warning (from God maybe?): they're about to slam the door shut. What are we going to do about it?

5/Think of it this way - who, besides a malignant narcissist, would WANT the power of life and death over 8b ppl? For most of us, all that suffering and the inability to fix it would cause a breakdown. To a narcissist, it's a perk of the job. We're at the point where we can't put it off any longer.

4/I'll go Jared one further: when it comes to DC, normal, caring human beings need not apply. We've allowed psychopaths to get their hands on the levers of power, and around our throats, like a sadist who chokes a victim to unconsciousness b4 reviving them to do it all over again. Tell me I'm wrong.

3/The thrill of a secret, the thrill of not getting caught, the thrill of another human's fear and suffering...oops, there it is. Ask yourself why there was *GLEE* in Washington when 40m ppl were scared to death they couldn't feed their families? They drink the fear like vampires. ALL OF THEM.

2/Why do some sociopaths become serial killers? I believe it's primarily boredom. When you're incapable of finding joy in basic human experiences - love, friendship, compassion - life becomes very flat indeed. For this reason do the Epsteins of the world thrive. Money and power, yes, but thrill.

7/Between 46 - 52% of eligible voted in the '22 midterms. When votes are decided by a few 1000 votes, could you imagine if we had 75% turnout? Or even 60%? And if our youth were engaged? B. Franklin famously said, "a Republic, madam, if you can keep it". In 2025, that's the big question. 💙📚

6/Disengaged voters. When we check out of the process through disgust or apathy, we end up here, where the biggest money wins (an amendment should also overturn Citizens United, but that's a sep. topic). We've got to start paying attention in order to take our govts back, from the ground up. 💙📚

5/This would go a long way toward leveling the playing field (I didn't include age restriction, bc that's discriminatory). Better still, I believe such an amendment would actually pass the 3/4 states' voters if we could pressure Cong. to advance it. The other HUGE problem - maybe the worst? 💙📚

4/Finally, on Sup. Court, I agree totally - *NO ONE* should serve forever. That may have been ok w/50 yr life expectancy, but not at 80. I propose an amendment: term limits for Cong. & SC, ban on stock trading for Cong./SC/Pres. admin, and prohibit gerrymandering based on party affiliation. 💙📚

3/The EC is the same way. Put aside your feelings on Trump and look at the bigger picture. If the EC helped a Dem, many of us would praise its wisdom. We have to examine both sides. Are there changes that should be made? Yes. But again, erasing the EC would remove the voices of small states. 💙📚
