Didn't it used to be that there was generally agreement on interpretation of the laws. Now a court upholds a law, an appeals court reverses the decision, SCOTUS makes up an entirely new interpretation, and government ignores them all. Laws are meaningless - the very definition of autocracy.

Republicans in Congress have structured the most painful benefit cuts in their budget bill to kick in AFTER the 2026 midterms.

But the tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy? Those begin immediately.

Remember this.

Soldiers and civilians died in The Revolutionary War, The War of 1812, The Civil War, WWI, and WWII to preserve our freedom and now the GOP and MAGAs are just giving it away, destroying everything good in service of lies, prejudice, and ignorance. Shameful, disgraceful, tragic.

Libraries are cornerstones of our communities and are a safe place to learn & grow. I spent my time as a kid wandering the shelves where I found my love of learning.

This School Library Month, let’s support our local libraries! It will take all of us to ensure they stay open and accessible to all.

Why are all the writers turning into podcasters? I don't have time to listen to hours and hours of audio.. I read fast and can follow a lot of people who write, but many fewer who talk. I prefer to pay for writing, not talking.

If you are still on Facebook and writing a post there, watch out. My finger slipped to the "help me write" button and Meta totally rewrote my post. I was writing a criticism of the administration, but Meta changed my comment to lavish praise. I was horrified, deleted it, & wrote what I intended.

Really key stuff here. DOGE flipped the Institute's security contractors - Inter-Con - against them by threatening to cancel all their security contracts across the federal government.

This is where DOGE's money meets up with guns and the lawyers are kicked to the side.
