Health insurers are jacking up premiums while raking in billions in profits.

Expiring ACA subsidies will saddle millions of Americans with massive monthly premium increases.

Is it any wonder that 63% of Americans now support Medicare for All?

We need to start saying this a lot louder.
What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way to get rid of Citizens United. Let me explain. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/how-to-get-rid-of-citizens-united

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

70% of Americans disapprove of this administration’s handling of healthcare. Cutting ACA subsidies is not the solution.

This is the time to make the case and build a broad coalition for Medicare tor All.

This was a battle the Dems were never going to win. We also need to feed people and pay government employees and not crash the entire economy when air traffic stops. Affordable healthcare is essential, I completely agree. win the mid terms and then fix the healthcare system. That’s the war.

The wealth of the richest 1% in America just hit a record $52 trillion. These are the people getting huge tax cuts — paid for by cuts to health care for millions of Americans. Every lie Trump and Republicans are telling right now about the shutdown is meant to distract you from this.

I did some of this replacing kitchen items. Switched out plastic containers for glass, using a wooden cutting board. I even found glass straws and use those. Went to loose leaf tea. Hoping that also produces less waste in the long term.

Well, if they don’t fund the ACA then a whole lot of American citizens will be doing the same thing. And already do.

I read that in the 1940’s 49% of the population had gardens for their food. Now it’s 1%. Ya’ll better get to growing stuff! Our tomatoes did pretty well this year. Have enough for a few cans of pasta sauce.

I think the other important part of this is talking with people. Being open to having a conversation.
Ann Selzer was somewhat correct in her prediction — she was just early. I am also right when I point out that Republicans representing the oligarchy have overplayed their cards. They are over their skis. They have jumped the shark.

Voters have noticed.
