Indivisible Guide is urging people to visit their senators' local offices between now and Thursday to demand that they use every tool—including denying a quorum and blocking unanimous consent—to fight the confirmation of Project 2025 architect Russell Vought for head of OMB.

There's not
I think Americans, blessed with relatively stable government for a long time, assume there is someone, some adult, who will step in and make things right before the President does anything REALLY bad.

There’s not.

Hi! Are you on Medicaid and were you essentially turned away from the ER by being told that it isn't clear that you care would be covered due to Medicaid portal issues? Email me at jmetraux@motherjones.com

I’ve heard from folks working in HUD housing that they’ve lost access to the eLOCCS portal. Folks working for HUD directly have said that they’re not to put anything in writing that might give the impression they’re defying the EO. This is feeling very dystopian.

i think the executive orders directing agencies to end energy efficiency regulations and open up more land to drilling and mining is so indicative of the character of the american right — in its view everything, whether people or our larger environment, is something to be exploited and dominated

If I “inadvertently” rendered a Nazi salute, I’d be sick to my stomach.

I’d be devastated about the bedtime conversations I forced Jewish parents to have, trying to reassure frightened kids.

I wouldn’t laugh it off, and if I could laugh it off, it would mean it wasn’t inadvertent at all.

This may be worse than Musk’s fascist salute. I expect it from him. This… is inexcusable. Do not let them gaslight you. This is not normal.
This is so bad

Indivisible co-founders Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg (former congressional staffers) have some advice on the most effective way to contact your elected representatives.
1. CALLING is best. Staffers keep a dally tally on issues that constituents call in on (pro or con). Call to get in the tally.

SCOTUS announces it will hear whether or not LGBTQ inclusive education is unconstitutional.

Not great for LGBTQ people, and could be disastrous to teaching that we have a history and have existed alongside everyone else for centuries.
