We need a 4-day, 32-hour work week with livable wages.

There is no reason that people need to be working this much.

People need time off to rest and spend with family and friends.

In the early 1980s, I was exposed to Hepatitis B during a chaotic emergency department birth… the Hep B positive mother was seated in a wheelchair, being frantically pushed into the ED by her husband, when I caught the rapidly appearing baby in my ungloved hands.

The Hepatitis B vaccine saved me.

Trumpiggy admitted he wanted a political payoff after a pardon of a Texas Democrat. That's a felony quid pro quo whether he actually received it or not. He should be impeached for it.

GOP cowards say: courage is for Democrats.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

So a former member of Farage's campaign team in Clacton (who was expelled from the party) says they lied about how much was spent on Farage's campaign in 2024, and submitted fraudulent election returns. This could be interesting, especially since the story has broken in the Telegraph.

Exactly. Newsom translated is “we need to treat a lot of you as abnormal and we need you to be a lot less judgmental about it.”
Which is it man because you can’t say ‘be more normal’ back-to-back with ‘be less judgmental’ without a hint of irony because that’s just positioning yourself as cultural authority & then demanding the type of grace that by virtue of your immediately preceding statement you refuse to extend to us
California Governor Gavin Newsom said on Thursday that the Democratic Party needed to be “more culturally normal” and “less judgmental.”

i think to understand the meaning of the birthright citizenship clause to the framers of the 14th amendment, you have to understand significance of dred scott to the civil war republican party. dred scott wasn't just a bad ruling, it was understood as a rejection of the declaration itself.

dred scott, in their minds, established the united states as a place of tiered citizenship and permanent inequality among americans. it was a ruling that said, in effect, that all men *were not* created equal and would *never* be treated as such.

the birthright clause was not just written to wipe dred scott off of the books, it was written to repudiate the *idea* behind dred scott, you might say the larger *ideological project* of dred scott. and the whole of section 1 of the 14th amendment is a constitutional statement of political equality

Women don’t “choose” bad men.

Men hide their true selves until it’s too late.

There’s a video going viral of a groom dangling his bride over a swimming pool & saying “don’t you trust me?”

Then he pushes her in

If she filed for divorce men would say she’s ‘overreacting’.

Or ‘can’t take a joke’.

His "plan" is, let's take an already way too complicated mess of "healthcare" & make it more complicated, less useful, more expensive & provide less actual **care** for people. Heck of a plan, Bill. I bet it works out about as well as having an unqualified nutter in charge of HHS.

The top 2 reasons the US government is trying to stop and delay naturalizations are naturalization is a shield from deportation and that naturalization grants voting rights (both because they overwhelmingly voted Democrat in most elections -- 2024 was an outlier -- and the symbolism of voting).
