My sister's dog Jack passed away today at approximately 16-17. He was adopted when he was about 10. He was so special to our family and was a great comfort to my Dad when he was in home hospice 3 years ago. He is very missed.

My sister and I went to a protest in a small, red town today. They were also doing a food drive for the local food pantry. Lots of honks of support. People from 5 to senior citizens. Protests held every other Saturday.

I couldn't sleep last night. Kept thinking about those in El Salvador and others being sent to South Sudan, those in other facilities, those separated from family, those living in fear. I felt guilt over killing an aggressive wasp. These people feel nothing but glee over what they are doing.

This woman's immigration case was dismissed, which made her immediately undocumented.
So ICE took her into custody.
The air conditioning was off in the back of the truck.
