A sad day for the community I live in. Bidwell Mansion was home to the founder of Chico, John Bidwell, and his wife Annie Bidwell. It was built in 1865 and has since then been an icon of this towns history. It sadly burnt down this morning and the whole community is in a state of shock.

I was fortunate enough to see a live reading of hers when I was in elementary school. The world has lost an amazing woman.
