🧵 Ten years after Brexit, data catches up with lived reality.

UK 🇬🇧 GDP 8% smaller. Investment ⬇️ 18%. Productivity ⬇️ 4%. GDP/capita 10% lower than comparable nations.

Not bc of a single shock, but bc Brexit drained confidence, investment, capacity for a decade.

One more statistic?

In the last 12 months, 47% of 324 divisions held in the Commons would have changed aye/no result, if seats matched votes -- including every vote on the budget resolutions.

That is, in these votes, opposing MPs represented more people but the government won anyway 🤷‍♂️

Presidential pardons are not created by executive orders.

Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution grants the president an inherent power to “grant reprieves and pardons.”

A pardon, once validly issued, cannot be undone by a later president.

Why do believers in gender identity ideology think Polanski answered well? Having mouthed the slogan he was stumped by the question "Why don't we just say women?". According to the ideology the ability to get pregnant is irrelevant to being a woman but he balked at saying that.
