One more thing -- this hearing was amazing in part because the judge gave a very impassioned and heartfelt defense of federal service, and the role played by both the federal government and its employees in our society. ❤️

Judge here just ruled from the bench that with respect to certain agencies (see the whole thread for explanation) OPM is enjoined from directing them to fire probationary employees

He will issue a written opinion but the thread is worth reading for someone his comments along the way.
Arguments on motion for a TRO in American Federation Of Government Employees, AFL-CIO v. OPM (ND Cal)

Plaintiffs argue that OPM ordered terminations of federal probationary employees. They have documents.

They say that govt's *only* evidence is declaration from Ezell denying OPM ordered it.
