I keep existentially spiraling about how the closest thing to living a life with a job, friends, food, health and wellness, happiness, or joy is only something I watch other people doing. Watching people spend & shop (ie influencers) is diabolical -- third party shopping viewing is wild.
I’m at the point I don’t even want to watch Reels on social media anymore.
I will gladly return to reading a book for entertainment but sure will miss the film/video format. 😞

I guess I haven't clearly articulated this in writing, but friends do not let friends without substantive IT work experience and/or a credible IT degree take cybersecurity career bootcamps in 2025.
They are up to no good. Shenanigans. Malfeasance. They are not a safe way to get a job.

I see this ignorance about software development history all the time, making people «reinvent» the past constantly or forgetting the lessons we learned.
I think universities need to teach «history of software development» or we’re just going in a loop here, unwittingly reenacting past mistakes.

In some people what we mutually went through produces empathy, really truly profound empathy. In others, it produces: antisocial coping, superiority, emotional detachment, and “the world hurt me, so I owe it nothing” thinking.
