It's creepy and weird how fixated and obsessed the right is obsessed with trans people. The reality is that what ever marginalized group it's ok for them to marginalize and it's socially acceptable ie. our politicians can publicly act and tout the hatred without being fired.. they will dial tf up.

My final point is that the fearmongering WRT trans people is absolutely fucking stupid. Trans people are such a small percentage of the US. Most of these people go most of their year not interacting with a trans person. They don't know trans people. Trans people largely do not affect their life.

I hope with all of my heart that we learned our fucking lesson that an America that is politically built off racist fearmongering xenophobic warmongering nonsense is NOT A GOOD AMERICA FOR US AS AMERICANS. I hope we get real fucking done with that one after this experience.

For how much conservative ppl I interacted with were against getting involved in foreign geopolitical conflict, they're REAL quiet right now after this administration has shifted into the goofy ass Pete Hegseth "transition into the Department of War". They've been quietly embarrassed about Israel.

That premise resulted in the destruction of a ton of resources, policies, departments, services that *surprise surprise* white people who voted against their best interest NEEDED and NOW DO NOT HAVE. IT WAS A GRIFT, y'all. Your racism got you grifted.

Simply, people voted for the idea that if we can stop people of color from having access to resources then the lives of white people will get better and life will be more affordable.

Unfortunately there's been a big opportunity in our politics to get a movement behind a regime largely fueled by extremely racist and or -phobic fearmongering. We did not successfully learn that this doesn't serve the interest of anyone but a select group of assholes in a disproportionate way.

The othering is real stupid. "There's not enough resources! If people that aren't like me are getting them then I can't have them myself!" chokehold lived quietly or at least only in hushed tones for so long by white people in America. People voted on this premise.
