The Vjesnik office building in Zagreb caught on fire last night. The modernist tower designed by Antun Ulrich in 1972 served as the headquarters for the Vjesnik newspaper and countless other publications. The tower mostly stood empty since Vjesnik shut down in 2012. Nobody was hurt in the fire.

Although I am not religious myself, I believe that in times of division like those today, we need more leaders like Pope Francis, gentle, hopeful and inclusive towards all who are oppressed, suffering, weak or in need.
