Nice! I’m glad there’s no detachment. I hope you feel better soon and get an explanation for what’s causing your symptoms

Good luck! Wishing you well. Yeah with an experienced operator the sensitivity of ocular ultrasound for retinal detachment is really high. I think it’s also very popular here because most non-ophthalmologists are bad at fundoscopic exams and don’t feel comfortable dilating eyes

On my ER rotation I saw lots of eyeball ultrasounds to triage vision problems. Do they do that a lot in the UK?

lol yeah I was even vaguely aware that Simon of Simon and Garfunkel had a solo career, and that Paul Simon was a guy who made music in the 80s. I had just never merged the two guys in my head

Gonna be honest and admit I just learned Paul Simon is the Simon and Garfunkel guy. Zoomer moment. I wonder why Garfunkel didn’t have such a big solo career

Just like anything else it depends on what they’re in for. Someone with a Fisher IV subarachnoid hemorrhage is going to have a much different course than someone with an acute MOGAD episode or status epilepticus. Many people do have bad functional outcomes, but it’s far from all of them.
